Ashleen summer-fall 2016 update
Ashleen has been very busy this summer with her TB mare wynnie. Ashleen who's passion has been in the Hunter jumper ring, then moved to dressage has been competeing in the world of eventing. It all started at Foxcrossing's Jumper Derby show, where Wynnie completed the derby course in style. Placing in the top 6. We went to the next couple of events and Wynnie rose to the occasion again and again placing in the top 6 every time. Wynnie was hooked but we were not so sure about Ashleen.
Summer camp came around and Ashleen supervised the summer camp program and staff. During this period, she found time to school Wynnie and received instruction from Meghan Mendall her college coach. They practiced at home, then Ashleen competed at Oldehope Farms MD with great results. Meghan suggested they go school at Windura, home of Boyd & Sylvia Martin, as it is only 5 minuets from her barn. Below are the photos of that schooling session, Wynnie is completely hooked and by the smile on Ashleen's face, I would say she is enjoying the ride! Watch out for this pair in the spring...
